Terms of Service
Effective date: 17 September 2026 · version 2026-09-17
These terms govern your use of HoloAR (https://holo-ar.com), a service that turns a short video you upload into a personal augmented-reality (AR) greeting shared through a link and a QR code. HoloAR is operated by Netanel Huri, Israel ("HoloAR", "we", "us"). By creating an account, using the site or buying a greeting you agree to these terms. Before each purchase you are asked to confirm that you have read them.
1. What you get
HoloAR lets you upload a video of up to 60 seconds and turns it into an AR greeting: a link (and a QR code) that opens in a phone browser and shows your video in the recipient's room through the phone camera. The greeting page also offers files to download: a regular MP4 video, a WebM video and a GLB 3D still (see section 6).
The AR experience depends on the recipient's device, browser, camera permission and lighting. Some devices anchor the figure to the floor, others show it over the camera view, and devices without AR support play the greeting as a regular video. We do not promise the same look or the same physical anchoring on every phone.
Optional automatic background removal is performed by an AI model. Results vary with lighting, clothing and background; a regular video version is always included.
Each purchase is one greeting. To make another greeting you buy again. There is no subscription.
2. Account and sign-in
Creating a greeting requires signing in with a Google account. We use the account only to identify you, to attach your greetings to "My Greetings" and to let you come back to them. We ask Google for your email address only; we do not access your Google Drive, contacts, calendar or files.
You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account. Anyone who can sign in to it can see and manage your greetings.
Recipients do not need an account: a greeting link opens for anyone who has it (see section 5).
3. Ordering and payment
A greeting costs the price shown on the site (currently US$9.90, one-time). Taxes, if any, are shown at checkout. Prices may change; the price at the time of purchase applies.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's terms for buyers apply to the purchase: https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.
Payment is taken before the greeting is created. Your upload is stored for 24 hours while unpaid; if no payment is made in that time, the upload is deleted and you can start again.
When you confirm the terms before a purchase we record the version of these terms you saw and the time of your confirmation together with your account and order, so that both of us can later see what was agreed.
4. Delivery and how long the greeting stays available
The greeting is created automatically after payment, usually within a few minutes, and is delivered on the same page as a link, a QR code and download links. You can return to it at any time through "My Greetings".
The greeting is hosted for one year, counted from the moment it first became ready after payment. The exact end date is shown on the result page and in "My Greetings" (the date is displayed in your device's time zone; the period itself is measured in universal time, and a greeting that becomes ready on 29 February ends on 1 March of the following year).
Until that date you can watch the greeting through the link, share it, show its QR code and download its files. After that date the link, the QR code and the downloads stop working, the greeting shows a short notice instead, and the video files are deleted from our servers within about 30 days (copies in our routine server backups can remain for a few more days). Please download the files you want to keep before the end date; keeping personal copies is your responsibility. We do not offer recovery of a greeting after its files have been deleted.
The end of hosting does not by itself end your permission to use files you downloaded earlier. Your continued use of those files remains subject to your own rights in the uploaded content and to these terms.
Retrying a failed step, refreshing the page, signing in again or a maintenance restart on our side does not restart the year. If we ever need to re-create the files of a ready greeting, the original end date stays.
We host the greeting on ordinary servers. We take reasonable care, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability or that a greeting can always be restored after a technical failure. If a paid greeting becomes unavailable during its year because of a failure on our side and we cannot fix it, you are entitled to a refund under the Refund Policy.
5. Links, sharing and privacy of greetings
A greeting is available to anyone who has its link or QR code, without signing in. Links are long and random, but they are not password protected and are not listed anywhere. Share them only with people you want to see the greeting.
"My Greetings" is shown only to the signed-in account that created the greetings. We never publish a list of greetings.
You can ask us to remove a greeting before its end date at any time by email.
6. Downloaded files
MP4: a regular video that plays in any video player. It shows your video (with your original background unless you chose green screen, in which case the green is cut) and includes the sound when your upload had sound. It does not by itself place the figure in a room; that is what the link does.
WebM: the same video in WebM format. When you chose automatic or green-screen background removal it contains a transparent background (VP9 with alpha), which only some players and video editors can show. When you kept your original background it has no transparency.
GLB: a 3D asset that shows one still frame of the figure at real-world size. It does not contain the moving video. It opens in software that supports GLB; support varies between devices and apps.
We do not promise that any of these formats works in a particular app or device. The interactive, camera-based AR experience requires the active hosted link and is not reproduced by the downloaded files.
7. Your content and your permissions
You keep all rights to the video you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, process, copy and display it only as needed to provide the service to you: creating the greeting and its files, serving the link and downloads, making the optional AI background removal work, keeping backups and providing support. We do not use your video for advertising or to promote HoloAR, and we do not sell it.
You confirm that you have the right to use the video and everything in it (including music), and that everyone appearing in it agrees to it being turned into a greeting and shared with the people you send it to. If a person in the video is a child, you confirm that you are their parent or guardian or have that person's permission.
You may not upload content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, threatening, infringing, deceptive or that involves minors in an inappropriate way. We may remove such content and refuse service.
8. If something goes wrong
If the greeting cannot be created, if you paid and did not receive it, or if a paid greeting cannot be opened during its year, email [email protected] with the greeting link (or the order details) and we will fix it or refund you as described in the Refund Policy.
9. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access other people's accounts or unfinished greetings, disrupt the service, upload malware, or use automated tools to overload the site.
10. Warranty and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that greeting. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes rights you have as a consumer under applicable law, including the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, or liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; the version on this page applies to new purchases. Each version is dated and numbered at the top, and the version you accepted at purchase remains available to you on request.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Contact: [email protected]. Business owner: Netanel Huri.
